To be honest I don’t know if this is #19 or not, but either way here we are! I hope January has been treating everyone well. I’ve been spending many evenings cuddled up on the couch under my heated blanket (another thing I have been LOVING) with Netflix or a book. There is something kind of nice about these cold, gray winter days.
Here are a few things, in no particular order, that having been adding little sparks of joy to my life:
-Fresh juice, because I’m a working adult and I can spend $7 on a beverage if I want to. Typically Josh and I make our own at home, but sometimes it’s nice to shell out for someone else to make it and do the juicer cleanup. π
-Aztec clay mask. I first tried this with the ladies from my small group and then immediately ordered it on Amazon. Mix with ACV (apple cider vinegar… Josh told me no one knows that acronym; is this true?) and slather on your face until it “pulsates” (per package instructions). I really think it’s making my skin look better! The hubs loves it too, although I am unfortunately forbidden to post a picture of him with his face mask.
-Sunflower seed butter cups. Trader Joe’s, you gem! You always know what the people want. Doesn’t have quite the same ring as “Reese’s,” but still. Dark chocolate and sunbutter all dayyyy.
-My new snake plant (+ flower pot that I found at the flea market last weekend!). After stalking these plants on Pinterest for awhile (aka 2 years), I finally bought one. I realized that on some level I have been holding back from buying things I like for our house because I’m waiting until we buy a place, but… why wait? New mantra: buy the plants!
-DoTERRA lavender oil. I have no idea if I capitalized the correct letters in that word, but Josh got me some of this for Christmas and it makes me feel so fancy! I love putting it in our diffuser, or if I’m feeling crazy (literally) I’ll put some directly on my wrists before I go to sleep. I don’t know if it has improved my sleep or not since I usually sleep a solid 8 hours anyway, but it sure smells good and just makes me happy when I use it.
