I know it’s winter and the last thing you probably want is a smoothie, but crank up the heat and let’s get to it because this thing is GOOD.
This is my attempt at recreating the smoothie bowl I had at Clean Juice on our Charlotte trip. I am typically not a fruit and chocolate kind of gal (love them separately, just not together) but this changed the game for me.
Also, note that these measurements are extremely approximate. I rarely measure, mostly because I don’t like cleaning our measuring cups (sad but true), so this is my best attempt at guesstimating. Hope you love this bowl as much as I do!
Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Bowl
-1 large frozen banana
-1 heaping cup frozen cherries
-1-2 Medjool dates
-1 tablespoon flaxseed
-1-2 tablespoons Hershey’s “special dark” cocoa powder (depending on how choco-licious you want this thing!)
-1/2 tablespoon maca (optional)
-Dash of cinnamon
-1 1/2 cups almond milk (basically just keep pouring until it reaches the top of the ingredients)
Top with granola, almonds, coconut chips… whatever your heart desires!
