A little belated on this weekend recap but here we are! I wanted to document last weekend with the twins because it was so much fun. Don’t get me wrong- caring for two 1 year olds can be stressful, but the pros always outweigh the cons for me!
I picked the girls up at daycare on Friday after work and then that evening we took them to downtown Raleigh for a “screen-free popup” at Raleigh Raw (chipping away at our May goal!). It was hilarious to see how much they LOVED the smoothie samples. Ladies after my own heart! We ended up buying a smoothie for me and a beer for Josh, and I think the girls drank about half of my smoothie. No beer though. 😉
On Saturday morning we went to the Raleigh flea market which was kind of a disaster because both girls were grumpy and did not want to sit still in the stroller for some reason. I pacified them with snacks but of course that created a huge mess… note to self: babies and crumbly Nutrigrain bars are not a great combo. Luckily once we got home it was nap tiiiime!
After their naps we headed to the Durham Greek Festival to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. So fun! Lots of good food, music, and dancing. The girls were wiggly but I think they enjoyed the music. 🙂
That evening we met my in-laws at Uncle Julio’s for dinner. I forgot to take pictures but trust me when I say, get the tableside guac! Tastyyy. For my entree I went with the fish tacos and would 10/10 order again.
Sunday was a pretty relaxing day involving church and a quick stroll at the art museum before it started raining. In the evening we drove the girls back home and stayed for awhile to play with them and E. As always I was super sad to say goodbye, but excited for our next adventure with them. 🙂 Hope everyone had a great weekend and that your month of May is off to a good start!
