Something that baby K has taught me is to celebrate the small victories. This morning the medical team increased his formula by 2 mL per feeding and I was ecstatic. Later on I thought about it and laughed… 2 mL is about half a teaspoon! With baby K, every tiny change feels momentous and worthy of excitement. Honestly, I think it can be the same in our lives, too.
Instead of waiting until we cross a big goal off our list to celebrate, we can rejoice in the baby steps that are getting us there. In Zechariah 4:10 it says, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” I want to be a person who rejoices to see a good work begin, no matter how incremental the progress may be.

What is at least one small victory you can celebrate in your own life today? Sending you love! ❤

Praise for this news about Baby K! What a precious little sweetie! I am so glad he is thriving. A small victory for me would be FINALLY taking on a daunting project in our house…seems trivial, but honestly, it has set so many other good forces in motion in our lives lately. It’s amazing what one tiny step forward can do on a broader scale. Love and prayers to you and Baby K!

Not trivial at all! I totally agree that small steps can be the gateway to bigger ones. ❤
