Loving Lately [#21]

There are lots of random things I’ve been enjoying these days and so I figured that my “loving lately” posts needed to make an official comeback! Disclaimer: I am not including Taylor Swift’s new album, folklore, on this list because that is just a given. πŸ˜‰

Thai Harmony. Earlier this week Josh and I went on a date night and decided to try this restaurant downtown. I got the green curry with shrimp and Josh got the Thai roasted chicken with sweet chili- both were soo flavorful and delicious! We will definitely be back.

“Bright Starts 5-in-1″ playmat. My sweet dad got this as a gift for us and baby K absolutely loves it. When he is in a good mood he will spend a solid hour on this mat just cooing away and batting at the hanging toys. It’s so precious to watch! I also like that the playmat “grows” with your baby and can eventually be turned into a little ball pit by putting up the sides and adding in the colorful plastic balls that come with it.

The Color of Compromise on Amazon Prime. A friend recommended this to me and so far it has been a great learning experience. The host, Jemar Tisby, discusses the American church’s historical and present day complicity in racism. He emphasizes that there can be no healing without first confronting our past and making the conscious decision to turn from it- such important and lifelong work. The video series corresponds with his book which I am hoping to get my hands on soon.

-Trader Joe’s lemon ginger seltzer. This has been my summer drink of choice lately! It’s the perfect amount of lemon + ginger and super refreshing on these hot afternoons.

Business Wars podcast. This podcast has been the perfect mix of informative + entertaining, and I love that each episode is only 20-30 minutes. They detail several, you guessed it, “business wars” between popular competitive companies, such as Starbucks vs Dunkin Donuts. There is so much that goes into business and advertising that I just have no clue about, and it’s been fun to hear what happens behind the scenes.

Happy weekend!
