Hello from baby land! Navigating postpartum recovery while caring for two infants has been challenging, to say the least. Thankfully Josh and I have had tons of help from friends and family, and for that I am so so grateful. Even still, in the middle of the night it’s just us under this roof, and typically 3/4 of us are in tears (I will let you guess which 3). Despite all of the tears and exhaustion, I feel so lucky to be a mama to these two precious boys. Listening to Baby K’s newfound giggle, seeing CJ’s curious eyes look up at me, watching Josh cuddle and rock the boys… these little moments of joy now punctuate my days, and I wouldn’t trade them for all the sleep in the world.
On that note, today I wanted to share just a few things that are making this postpartum period a little easier and more enjoyable!
-Solly wrap: CJ loves being in this, which is great because I love having him safe and snuggled up against me while also having my hands free. We have an Ergobaby carrier as well, and that has been perfect for Josh to use with Baby K.

-Honey Pot pads: Self explanatory. And, bonus, these are a great way to support a Black-owned business!

-Pink Stork tea: I have been super into tea lately. This was a gift from a friend and it is so tasty, plus includes several herbs that are supposed to help with postpartum healing.

-Badger belly butter: This was another thoughtful gift from a friend. I used it on my belly all throughout pregnancy, but now put it on the nips after nursing. Gotta do what ya gotta do!

–No bake energy bites: I have tried so many of these recipes and I think this one might be my favorite (although I probably say that about all of them). They are easy to make and even easier to eat, which is a must when it’s 3am and you have a newborn in one arm!

I think that does it for today. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week + weekend! Josh and I will be spending time with family and trying to squeeze in as much rest as possible. 😉
