Psalm 113:9

Last week I was walking into the grocery store with Baby K and a very kind older gentleman approached me. He said,

“Ma’am, I saw you before you put on that mask and I have to say, you look like an exquisitely happy mother!”

I thanked him and told him that, indeed, I was. The exchange brought tears to my eyes because I immediately thought of Psalm 113:9, a verse I had been praying for years. In my bible I wrote down the initial date that I started praying it: December 29, 2017.

The verse reads,

“He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord.”

What a gift to see that prayer come to fruition in my life, and to be reminded that even in seasons of doubt and darkness, God is still faithful.
